Teacher’s Secret to Earning $115K a Year in California

Jae Byun isn’t your average high school math teacher and basketball coach. His unique career path has led him to a six-figure income and a love for his job.

Originally aiming for a career in finance, Byun studied business economics at the University of California, Irvine. But after a few internships, he realized that wasn’t his calling.

In his last year of college, he found himself coaching football at his old high school, where he discovered the perks of teaching: stability and freedom. This experience shifted his focus to education.

Fast forward seven years, and Byun’s now making $114,099 annually through teaching, summer school, and coaching in Fullerton, California. He’s found a career he loves and can see himself sticking with it long-term.
