The hunt for remote jobs may be getting tougher and more competitive, yet securing a work-from-home role is still achievable with the right resources.
FlexJobs, a membership-based service for job seekers, has pinpointed the top 100 companies with remote job openings in 2024. This selection comes from around 60,000 companies that listed their vacancies on FlexJobs’ platform from January through December 2023.
A modest increase of 11% in remote job listings was noted by FlexJobs in 2023, a dip from the 20% surge between 2021 and 2022. However, there was a notable rise in fields such as sales, technology, health care, along with accounting and finance roles. Nearly two-thirds of these opportunities are aimed at individuals with mid-level or higher experience.
According to Toni Frana, FlexJobs’s principal career advisor, “This past year, the remote job market witnessed less fluctuation in job openings and a broader distribution across various sectors. Sales and tech, in particular, offered a consistent flow of remote jobs throughout 2023, and this is expected to continue into 2024.”
